A Book for Saul
As a graphic design student, I have heard the name “Saul Bass” in just about every class that I have taken, mostly in my motion design class. Before digging into Saul Bass and researching I never realized how he has influenced me as a designer without even knowing.
What I find interesting and inspiring about Mr. Bass is the universal talent he had. He was amazing at almost everything he did, with work in corporate identity, films, title sequences, and ad campaigns.
To pay tribute to Saul I was inspired by children's books and designed them to have pull tabs, flipbooks, and cutouts. I wanted the book to represent the playfulness that Bass brought into all of his work regardless of the genre or subject matter.
